About the Role:
Vision Source Kerrville is looking for a team member (Part-Time or Full-Time) who helps patients find eyewear that complements their vision, lifestyle, personal style, and budget. Success in this role requires technical expertise, an eye for frame selection, strong problem-solving skills, and a commitment to delivering an exceptional patient experience.
This role reports directly to the Optical Manager and works closely with the entire team. As a small practice, we value collaboration, communication, and teamwork. This position will partner closely with the other Opticians while contributing to a supportive team environment focused on providing an exceptional patient experience.

Responsibilities:
- Help patients select eyewear frames and lenses that match their style, needs, and budget
- Assist with frame adjustments, repairs, and fittings to ensure optimal comfort
- Interpret and process optical prescriptions from licensed optometrists
- Educate patients on lens options, coatings, and eyewear care
- Maintain an organized, visually appealing optical dispensary
- Process orders with optical labs and manage inventory of frames and supplies
- Deliver exceptional customer service throughout the patient experience
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- No prior optical experience necessary — we will train the right candidate!
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a customer-first attitude
- Interest in fashion, styling, or healthcare is a plus
- Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Reliable, punctual, and a true team player
- Basic computer proficiency; experience with optical software a bonus
